Vanity Call Sign Fees - will decrease 10 cents to $13.30, effective August 17, 2010. The fee is payable both upon application for a new vanity call sign and when renewing for a new 10 year term.

K1TCO - Doc’s former call sign has now been granted to us. PARC now has 2 club call signs as K1TCO will be in addition to, not in place of, our existing club call sign WA1YFV. Thanks to our V.P. & trustee, Ed KA1VCQ, for making it happen and also to Cindy K1ISS for her help with the process!   

New Tech Question Pool - Thursday, July 1, 2010, a new question pool for the Technician Class amateur radio license exam took effect. The new question pool is expected to be valid for the next 4 years. The basic electronics theory section has been expanded and some basic troubleshooting information has been added as well. They’ve put more tech in the “tech” exam!

I’ve already begun reviewing all the many changes & additions to the course material and will be ready to teach a newly updated “Tech” class in the Fall / Winter season. It’s going to be fun!
